Habitat for Humanity of High Point, Archdale and Trinity, Inc. is an ecumenical, Christian housing ministry working in partnership with God and people everywhere to build simple, decent, safe houses so that all people can grow into all that God intended.

The Habitat affiliate in High Point was founded in 1986 through the dedication of eight concerned citizens guided by the Reverend Ernie Price. Its first house was completed in 1988, and through the end of 2006 the Habitat affiliate has completed 60 houses in our community. These houses are home to over 230 people, 150 of them children. During the past 19 years, the affiliate has completed both infill building as well as developing a multi income neighborhood in partnership with two other non profit builders.

Habitat for Humanity International Founded in Americus, Georgia, in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, the Habitat for Humanity program has grown to more than 1,400 affiliates in all 50 states and in more that 60 countries. The original goal was to build 100,000 homes for 1,000,000 people. The 100,000th home was built during the "Jimmy Carter Work Project" in 2001. Today the dream continues, with over 120,000 Habitat homes worldwide.
